Old and Young alike instinctively turns prayer wheels at every passing,Fingers grumplinig over Mala beads
Trailing through an ancient trading route over the mesmerizing high mountain passes, the five-day Druk Path Trek is one of the most popular treks in the country. With the crystal-clear lakes teeming with fishes and walking through the deeply entangled forests of fir, blue pine and dwarf rhododendrons, we will come across a number of yak herder’s camps. You will also have an access to the splendid vistas of Himalaya along the Bhutan – Tibet border including Mount Jumolhari, Jichu Drake and Gangkhar Puensum.
On the third day, hikers will arrive at Jimiling Lake, with the vivid clear waters hosting the gigantic trout. Our final descent through pine and juniper forests via Phadjoding monastery would lead into Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. With start and the exit being the valleys of Thimphu and Paro, the logistics is therefore another perk with the opportunity to explore Bhutan.
